Customer Advisory - Refund Application Process Update

Dear Valued Customers,

Following up on our previous customer advisory regarding the refund application process related to the 2022 Truck Strike, ACT is pleased to announce an additional submission option for consignees.

On June 21-22 and June 25-26, between 9 AM to 3 PM, Amman based consignees will, in addition to the already advised submission options, have the opportunity to submit their refund applications through the interim ACT Customer Service office at the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, located at: Princess Basma Str, building number 218, Abdoun.

Please note that this submission is for consignees only and required documentation for successful submission remains as informed via actconsignees@act.com.jo – namely:

  • Request of waiver: A written request from the consignee authenticated by the bank, detailing the container numbers and that fall within the scope of the refund criteria communicated by ASEZA.
  • Bills of Lading (BOL): A copy of the Bills of Lading (BOL) stating the consignee is the cargo owner.
  • Bank Letter: A letter stamped or authenticated by the consignee's bank, specifying the consignee's bank details, including the IBAN.
  • Customs Bayan: A copy of the Customs Bayan that establishes the rightful ownership of the cargo.
  • ID: An official Identification Document matching the names of all BOL, Customs Bayan, and Bank Letter.


Valid refund applications must be received no later than June 30th, 2023. Eligible refunds will be transferred to the valid IBAN after this deadline.
